3) On your day off, try something new:
Try something you’ve never done before — hike a mountain, paint a mural, or sign up for a race!
What is your idea of a good day off? Sitting on the couch, watching TV, and eating junk food. Getting up early to go to work the next day? Sounds like a lot of fun! If that’s what you think is a good day off, then it’s time to try something new. On your next day off, try something that you’ve never done before — hike a mountain, volunteer, start a new hobby.
4) Escape the day:
Find your favourite way to escape for the weekend. If you need a break from work, find a new and awesome restaurant in your area or plan an epic trip with friends and family.
I basically try to escape anytime I can. If I need a break, I usually go work out or read a book on the couch with my dog.
5) Indulge:
Choose a food you love and make it your Friday meal. Or, cook something you’ve been dreaming about for the weekend.
One meal I love is a blackened chicken sandwich. I always make mine with avocado, tomato, and red onion. It has all the flavors of a classic Cajun dish without the fat! What was the last thing you cooked? One of my favorite things to make is pizza.
I love using whole wheat dough and making my own sauce. The best part is, the first time I make pizza, they always taste better than anything you can buy at a restaurant.
